face mask review : Innisfree jeju volcanic pore clay mask

This is one of innisfree famous product out there! i've been reading many reviews about this, and i've been wanting to try since 2 years ago.. But always distracted by other cuter or more interesting mask. lol.. yup.. i'm the type who can't say no to cute lovely products, so that's why it's been awhile for me to finnaly have this one. In fact this one i bought in Shanghai, when i visited innisfree store and bought a set of innisfree products, including this one.

anyway, to get it started, this is information i found on the net..
From the picture above..it's clear that this mask is targeted for skin with pores, blackhead, extra sebum.. it will be good for those with oily skin..
First, the packaging.. i like the packaging..it looks classy, strong..first i thought it's made from glass but no, it's made from some kind of plastic but the good, thick, solid one, not kind of cheap-thin plastic. The size is also perfect. Not too big, not too small. just enough for people who like trying new stuff like me. Sometimes when the jar is too big and the product too much i don't know how to finish it and i can't take it for travelling. But this one, it's convinient for travelling too. I will take it with me when i travel to Jakarta by the end of this month.
Open the cap, there is this another plastic cover, which is good. No spatula included though. I don't know if you buy not with set if you will get spatula, but i don't get spatula. i don't like to dip my finger in it since it's sticky and not hygienic but i don't have extra spatula :(
The texture is this creamy thick paste, with brown-greyish color, just like any other volcanic mask i guess. The smell is ok, of course since it's volcanic mask, i can't expect sweet or delicious smell, but thank god at least it doesn't smells bad. it smells.. well, just like volcanic mask. i've tried other volcanic mask before and they are all have similar scent.
The thick paste after i scooped out
This is how it looks like when spread out evenly.. I used my finger to spread out on my face, although i would like to use a mask brush but i don't have any at this moment. Well, surprisingly, it was easy to apply with my hand. at first i though it would be messy, sticky and not spread evenly but it wasn't.. it was easy and smooth to apply, i could decide how thin or how thick i want to apply the layer of the mask.

After i applied evenly on my face, i was waiting for around 10-15 minutes. it will get harden a little bit, but the good thing is not too much, not that kind that will make your face stiff and you can't even talk. It will only get harden a little bit and for me it didn't give me any discomfort like itchy or redness after use

To remove the mask, it could feel like the mask stick on your face and need a little effort to remove it completly. try to use warm water, it's better and easier. I needed to rub and massage circular with water to remove the mask.

The result?
I felt my fave smoother and matte. not that silky smooth, but a little bit smooth, tight and matte. i felt my pores on my nose tightening. So it really is for pore and sebum care, and targeted for oily skin. because i dont feel extra moisturized effect from this mask. and i used this mask at night on the weekend, the next morning when i woke up and shower late, i felt some part on my skin a little bit dry. I think it was because the effect of the mask from the night before. The mask made my face really matte that's good for my oily nose but not good for other part of my face like my cheek.

Overall, this is really good treatment for oily skin, but not for dry skin. it will make your skin even dryer. But for a pore or sebum care, this is a good mask!
I like it and i'm thinking to buy other variants of this innisfree mask. They even have in 30 ml, i think it would be cute..

Face mist review : Innisfree originated lavender Moisture mist

I like using mist before make up and to carry in my bag, to use everytime i feel like i need some refreshment. That's why i always have at least one mist with me (normally i have 2. one to stand by on my dressing table and one inside my bag). For the cheap option of mist, i like local brand, Mustika ratu face mist. But last time when i ordered innisfree lavender range, i saw they also have mist so i thought, why not try the mist too..

This is information from the net (www.bbcreambest.com)
This is my lavender mist
First, the packaging.. it's a 45ml plastic cpray bottle.. with a purple transparant colour bottle, it looks good, doesn't look cheap.. but.. as you can see on the picture.. i lost the cap. The cap is suck.. it didn't close and stuck well.. it's like a little bit loose. I lost the cap many many times. Everytime i put it inside my bag whenever i checked the bottle always seperated with the cap..until one day i just lost it.
The spray.. with a super iny hole.. so it will produce very fine mist. in fact too fine.. sometimes i need to spray like 7 times spray on my face..!! ..because i just didn't feel it I didn't feel the watery mist and need more and more..
the scent.. yup, there's a hint of lavender smell. it's nice and calming scent, remind me of spa product or aromatherapy. But not too strong or overpowering scent.

The effect of the mist?
well, first it freshen up for sure. I like to apply this before primer or bb cream to add extra moisturizer and dewy effect. I also like to use it when i was out and needed some refreshment.. I tried to spray this when my skin was drying, but didn't really help to fix the dryness. well, maybe only the first 5 minutes and then the effect was gone.

overall, it's just so so product for me.. well it's only a mist anyway.. something that i would like to try many from other different brand.. not something to be loyal to.. lol. Now i really want to try tony moly pocket bunny mist because of the cute bunny packaging!

innisfree haul from Shanghai, china

2 months ago i travelled to china, not really for travelling actually. i was accompany my husband for his bussiness travel. We didn't get a chance to visit tourist attraction. it was pure bussiness and i spent my day shopping around while my husband went for factory visit.

So one day in Nanjing road, i found innisfree country in one of the mall there. Yeaaayyy i'm so excited. it was my first visit to innisfree store. Innisfree is not open their store yet in Jakarta, so i was so happy to find one in shanghai. well, i was more happy when i found out that they sell many travel/mini size product. I dont have to buy all full size. yeaaayyy..

well then let's take a look, start from the big green box
they are selling this gift package.. what's inside :
eco beauty tool jeju volcanic cleansing sponge
jeju volcanic nose pack 6 sachet
2 green tea pure skin
2 green tea pure lotion
2 green tea seed serum
capsule sleeping pack
jeju volcanic pore clay 100 ml
The lady said that this is a package of their best seller.
next is this jeju volcanic set..
jeju volcanic pore cleansing foam
jeju volcanic pore toner
jeju volcanic pore cover
my husband threw the packaging because that time we have limited space only in our bag, so just put all of this inside the green cartoon.
i also bought this big full size cleansing, it's innisfree green tea pure cleansing water.

and of course, there's a bonus of free gift from my purchase..this is what i got:
it's a men series of innisfree. Forest for men, fresh skin and lotion. There are some other choices for free gift but i chose this one so my husband can try innsifree too.

i forgot how much this cost in china yuan, but i remember at that time i tried to convert it to rupiah and it was around 400.000 something in rupiah.

skin care set review : innisfree olive real skin care kit

Don't you just looooove skin care kit like this? You can try the whole set without buying the full size! i found it really helpful. For example, i bought full size bottle of skinfood omija skincare toner and emulsion after i tried the skin care kit sample and happy with it.

This time, it's innisfree olive real skin care kit. wait. i've tried this before loong time ago..maybe 2-3 years ago. yes i did, and i was quite happy, so when i saw one seller offer this set i bought it again. yeaaayy..
Olive real?
this is the information on the box:
olive real skin care kit with organic extra virgin olive oil
enriched with the best quality of organic extra virgin olive oil from crete island, olive real deeply nourishes skin and retains moisture for healthy radiant skin.

anyway this is what i got :
olive real skin / toner 15 ml
olive real lotion 15 ml
olive real eye cream 5 ml
olive real power cream 5 ml
olive real essential oil 2 sachet

now to the review, first is the toner and lotion
left : toner and right : lotion
Both toner and lotion have this nice natural-organic scent. it smells nice, sweet and not overpowering.
The toner is very thick, might be the thickest toner i have tried. it's not kind of liquid watery toner, but more like very light gel. but it's very refreshing and moisturising. i think this toner will be good for those with dry or sensitive skin. or in winter time when you feel your skin dry.
The lotion also thick and rich enough for lotion, not too watery, and in my opinion it's a very good moisturiser. it's rich enough to keep my face moisturized during the day. i don't have to put extra moisturiser in this dry season. but it could be to rich for those with oily skin or summer time though. i think if i use this while i was in jakarta it would make my face get or looks oily.

power cream and eye cream
left : power cream and right : eye cream

both are rich and thick cream. i thing the power cream is slightly thicker than the eye cream.
i use both only for night before sleeping. the power cream is very rich and it kept my skin moisturized during the night.
as for the eye cream, i don't use eye cream regularly maybe because i dont have budget for eye cream yet or not aware enough how important to use eye cream, or simply just lazy to add another routine on my skin care. but anyway since i have it now so i just use it at night, and cannot tell you the effect yet.

last but not least..olive real essential oil
essential oil? the texture is exactly just like an olive oil, well it is actually. and since it's olive essential oil so i guess it suppose to be multipurpose oil right.. that you can use all over your body from head to toe.
i was curious how to use this as a skin care, but i guess it would act like serum? so use it before cream? i'm not sure but last night i tried it that way. and woaaa.. this one smells lovely. the nicest smell among this olive line. and as i applied on my face, i thought it would be oily and sticky, but no,,, turned out it absorbed well and gave my skin extra moisturised. niceeee..

overall, i still like this olive line from innisfree, specially for extra treat in this dry winter season when my skin needs extra care. i would recommend this tho those with dry skin or for winter time, but not for those with oily skin and summer humid season.

quick post and review : innisfree olive real cleansing cream & holika holika secret source hydro skin & emulsion

Gotta catch up fast girls... many reviews coming up!! so i gotta start with quick review of sample products that i almost finished.
first, it's innisfree olive real cleansing foam
this is not my first time trying innisfree olive line. i've tried the sample of the skin care before (skin and emulsion), and this one is also the sample size, only 15 ml. based on my experience trying some innisfree products before, innisfree products are good when my skin dry or when the weather is dry, in my case, it's good for winter time.
This cleanser has a soft scent, i can't almost smell anything. and the product itself is creamy, not making so much foam although i mix it with water. on the face it felt soft, not drying and not too har for the skin. i wish i could say more but since it's only a sample size and i can only use it for around a week so not many thing i can say here. overall it's good cleanser, not my favourite, and with this mini size, recommended for travelling.

next, holika holika secret source hydro skin and emulsion
another sample from holika holika..and too bad to say, this one clearly not my favourite. first, the scent is too strong.. it's kind of perfum-y artificial scent, not a nice natural scent i like from skin care. so i don't know, maybe it's not good for those with sensitive skin. the hydro skin is ok, or quite good actually, refreshing and not drying, but the emulsion is way to light and too watery, it's not moisturised enough, specially in this dry weather here. i have to add more cream from other brand to add some moisturised. so yeah, not recommended for me, but i'll use it until finish anyway since it doesn't give me any breakout or bad reaction

so.. that's it for now!! as i told u, only quick and short review to catch up..

Cleansing review : Innisfree originated lemongrass brightening cleansing lotion

On my last time purchased with iheartkoreanbeauty, Baviphat applemint skin care i ordered was discontinued, so i changed my order into something else, and this cleansing lotion is one of the replacement products i bought. i needed cleansing lotion at that time and i chose this because it was ready stock and i like innisfree products.

Just now when i'm writing this i'm also looking on google for more information about this product, but unfortunetly i couldn't find any. no information about what it contains and benefits. and no english information on the packaging too. so, i'm clueless here.. hehehe. the information is only from the name. "brightening" and "lemongrass" so yeah, i only know that it contains lemongrass and the benefit is brightening. that's it. hehe. well anyway for more information i'll just let you girls know more from my experience.

First, the packaging.. just the way i like it. it's a pump bottle. plastic, but doesn't make it look cheap. there is a safety clip on it, which is very usefull when you have kids who like to discover everything. hehe.
the texture is very light lotion, like some of korean emulsion. the smell, hmmmmm,,, it smells so fresh. smells like a lime candy. i like it!

Now, for the power as a cleansing product, i'll test it to remove some make up.

i drew some line of various make up products; eye brow pencil, pencil eye liner, gel eye liner, lipstik, bb cream, pencil eye shadow. then pump some amount of the lotion on top.

then i started rubbing the lotion with circular motion gently. look, the make up started melting with the lotion.
last step is to wipe it off with cotton pad. taraaaa..!! clean!

what i think about this product :

i think it's a good cleansing lotion. the cleansing power to remove make up is great, the smell is nice, doesn't break me out, doens't dry out my face. But for better result i used to follow up again with cleansing foam and water. without cleansing my face again with water and facial foam i could feel some oil residue, like my face became oily. but overall, this is a great product and in the future i will look for other cleansing product from innisfree!

cleansing oil review : Innisfree apple juicy cleansing oil

This is my first try of innisfree cleansing product. I chose apple juicy cleansing oil because first, i need cleansing oil for winter, 2nd, apple juicy sounds yummy. i like yummy scent! 3rd, the packaging is a pump bottle, my favourite packaging. Not just it comes with a pump bottle but it also has this safety clip (or whatever the name is)
so whenever you finish, just put the clip back. You know, for those who have children, this safety clip is really usefull! My daughter is so tempted to squeeze, scoop anything in my drawer (cream, lotion, perfume, liquid soap, etc) with this safety clip, i don't have to worry.

anyway, i'm quite surprise to see there is an english version of information in the back of the bottle. This is what's written there:

Apple juicy cleansing oil
penetrates deep into pores, cleanses skin thoroughly
this deep cleansing oil offers softness and healthy radiance to your skin like a freshly washed apple.

directions : apply an appropriate amount onto dry hands and gently smooth over dry face to dissolve make up. Add water with fingertips and massage to remove make up.rinse off with lukewarm water afterwards

and this is some information i found on the net, from ebay seller.

Now let's try this cleansing oil..
first impression, the scent, oh my... it smells soooo lovely... fresh apple scent, remind me of that air freshener you hang on your car. the one with tree shape.. i forgot what's the name of the brand. oh, this cleansing oil made my cleansing time so enjoyable. i always stop massage on my nose and inhale, enjoying the scent. hehe. and as for the cleansing power, it is good!! i made some test;
some swatch of gel eye liner, lipstick, lip gloss, eye brow pencil, eye shadow pencil
apply the cleansing oil, start to make circular massage around, somehow all the colour started to melt, then just rinse off. This time just wipe it off with tissue.
TADA!!!! soo clean!!! i was sooo surprise and happy to see the result. the only thing left there is a little bit of glitter from the lip gloss. but after rinsing off with water, it all gone.

my conclusion, this is a very good product and recommended for everyone!! i am using this during winter and still until now, and this didn't make my face dry. and one bottle could last long too!! like it very much and i will buy more innisfree cleansing product for sure, will try other variant.

mask pack review : innisfree home spa apple yogurt pack

This is my first try to innisfree mask pack products. Before this i've tried only innisfree sleeping pack (green tea&wine) and both were good. i am interested with this one because it comes in this small butter-like packaging, which only for 1-2 times use. Sometimes buying a mask in full size packaging is like gambling, as it might turn out good or not good-- or even worse, break you out. If that happened, what can you do for the rest of it? well, of course you can give it to somebody but still, it is just a waste of money (plus time, if you order from the net and waiting for 2-4weeks for the product to arrive). So, no doubt, i like small-small packaging like this.

anyway.. back to this apple yogurt pack, it comes in this plastic packaging, just like butter for your breakfast:
To open the packaging, just peel the cover, ad if you  don't want to use it all you can just close it back.it smells just like green apples, with a milky hint-with of course, it must be the yogurt.

the texture is creamy-but light, not sticky, and with a very tiny scrubs particle.
Now, my thought about the product:
it is a little bit dissapointment actually. first, it absorbed to the skin really slow. i didn't feel it absorbed to my skin during 15 minutes with this pack. it was just sit there on the surface on my skin. and when i rinsed it off with water, i didn't feel that nice feeling after mask. no extra moisturised or smooth skin or firmer skin that make you can't stop touching your face. the only visible result i saw was my face looked whiter and brighter. that's it. and i looove that lovely apple smell.
overall, there is no bad effect for me from this pack, so i will use it once again to finish the rest of it, but this is something i will not repurchase.

peeling & mask review : innisfree wine peeling softener and wine sleeping pack

I bought this products last year for my stock, and finally now it almost finished. i read so many good reviews abouth this so i gave it a try. my first peeling was etude house magic bubble peeling, and when it was half way i opened innisfree wine peeling softener for alternative. i also got 2 sachets of wine sleeping mask pack from the same line, both are finished, and it is time for review!
innisfree wine peeling softener :
nice packaging. it is a glass bottle, and the shape is just like a bottle of wine, only in mini version.
no english. all in korean.so i have to search on the net for the direction how to use this.
this is what i found from random search on google.

anyway, now jump to the review :
the scent : it smells sooo gooood.. sooo yummmmyyy.. i don't drink wine but i guess it smells just like wine.
how to use : with cotton pad, rub on your face just like the toner.
texture : a little bit creamny but light and watery.
performance :
at first, i followed the direction with cotton pad, and i could see the tiny white peeled of which it supposed to be my dead skin-that;s what they say, but i didn't see that much. only a little, not like with etude bubble peeling. i thought it wasn't effective, so i tried again different way, buy rubbing it straight away to my dry face, without cotton pad. it turned out it was hard to work on it that way. it took some time rubbing and rubbing until it started peeling. so i guess the first way is much better.
as the result for my skin, it gave me a little smoother after using it, but not as smooth as etude house magic bubble peeling, so i prefer etude than this. but since it is an ok product, not giving me any breakouts, so i continue using this as an alternative of etude.

innisfree wine sleeping pack
the scent : smells exactly like the peeling softener. sooo lovely.... so nice to put on my face before sleeping, i could still smell it when i was laying down on my bed.
how to use : use as last step of your skin care routine before sleeping at night.
performance : similar with etude house sleeping pack, but if etude house sleeping pack gave me a very smooth soft result, this one gave me more moisturised. overall, i like this sleeping pack. it didn't give me any breakouts, and it provided enough moisturiser all night.

Haul 2010 review

it's the end of march! my target is to finish moving my old post from my old blog here this month and start new post on april. So, this is the last old post. Pictures, actually.

Living in Yemen, it's hard for me to get my fav korean brands. Ordering from internet will cost me a lot in shipping. So my solution is to buy lots of them for my stock, at least for 6months stock, when i come to Jakarta. Nowadays there are so many seller open pre order for korean brands, and they just cost me Rp.5000 for shipping (to jakarta)!
Sadly, i can only order around twice a year. Once when i come to jakarta for holiday, and once when my mom send me some stuff from home.

So, this is the pictures of my haul for last 2010. i ordered most of them from riebutik, joined their pre order, and some other i bought from chicprincessa, onikchan and intencorner from their ready stock list.

most of them are skin food, my fav brand so far. I ordered some etude house, baviphat and innisfree too.
and these are samples. i love trying new products, and that's why i looove samples (and some mask sheets). i don't even mind buying samples. Most of the samples i bought them, only some i got free from riebutik.
i bought some etude house brushes too.
and.. eco tools kabuki brush & everyday mineral foundation brush.
this is baviphat cosmetic bag, or i don't know what they call this. this is just perfect for me to go. not too big, not too small.just enough for my pact, lipstick, blush on, eye liner, face mist and brushes.what i like is there is a space for my new brushes with a plastic to cover them.
my choices of face masks. skin food kiwi yogurt mask, skin food banana yogurt mask, baviphat mango magic brightening, etude house sleeping pack and etude house honey wash off mask. I don't even open skin food kiwi yogurt and etude house honey yet.
my choices of cleansing. alll skin food. skin food apple vinegar fresh foam, cappuccino mousse foam, milk mania cleansing emulsion, milk shake point make up remover, and grape seed oil. apple vinegar, cappuccino and grape seed now only half bottle left.. i'm start worried that i didn't buy enough stock for cleansing :(
will buy more next time..
travel size-gift set-sample set.. whatever the name, i love them!!
well, that's it! i am finish moving to blogspot. tomorrow i will start writing new post! hemm.. no, not tomorrow. it's holiday here. well, see you  soon
