Bronze powder review : NYX Tango with bronze powder review - Tan Enthusiasm

i wrote a post before about multi colour blush/bronzer, and this is one of my collection. You can read the post here. I like blush/bronzer/highlighter with more than one colour. they are cute and not boring like one colour only. hehe. although i must admit, that one colour blushes are  actually better in pigmented (base on my experience only). so in my opinion, if you want more pigmented blush just go to regular one colour blush, but if you just want natural look, shading,  bronze effect, or you like to experiment with those colour, you can try this kind of blusher/bronzer.

Anyway, this one from NYX, they named it Tango with bronze powder. it comes in 5 versions, and i chose Tan enthusiasm. This is the full range of NYX tango with bronze powder

picture from http://www.cherryculture.com
description from NYX website :

It takes two to tango but just one of our brilliant bronzing powders to kickstart your look. Our mosaic bronzer shades create a golden glow on the face and body—like you’ve just returned from a Caribbean getaway. Sun-kissed never looked this sexy or healthy. Available in five versions.

INGREDIENTS: Talc, Mica, Mineral Oil, Magnesium Stearate, Synthetic Wax, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Polybutene, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Diethylhexyl Syringylidenemalonate / Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, and Tin Oxide. May Contain: Mica (CI  77019 ) , Titanium Dioxide (CI  77891 ), Iron Oxide Red (CI  77491 ) , Iron Oxide Yellow (CI  77492 ) , Iron Oxide Black (CI  77499 ), Ultramarine Pink (CI  77007 ),  D&C Red 6 Na. Salt (CI  15850 ), D&C Red 7 Ca Lake (CI  15850 ), Manganese Violet (CI  77742 ), or Ultramarine Blue (CI 77007).

so as you can see from the description above, actually it's not a blusher.it supposed to give you the sun-kissed look.

well this is what i think about this product :

 first, the packaging.
well, for me it's a little too bulky. not convinient for travelling or carry around. when i put this inside my make up pouch, it makes the pouch full. But from the look, the packaging is much better than NYX mosaic powder that it just classic bored plastic packaging.

When you open the cap, this is the inside. the bronze powder with a mirror. No seperation between the bronze powder and the mirros, so the mirror will not be clear and always covered with some of the powder.
the blusher is hidden underneath the bronze powder.
This is the brush. it's a flat brush. the brush is not superb. the hair is not too soft. just ok i think.

and this is the swatch :
with flash
without flash
it was really hard to make that swatch for those 4 colours. i have to stroke each colour many timew to get that colour on my hand.
and i really wanted to make a swatch for all those colour combined, but seriously, i couldn't! it was just glitter all over my hand. the brush seems just couldn't take the colour from the bronze powder. i tried with other brush, my kabuki brush, and it was same. when i took a picture, there's nothing you can see.. no colour captured on the photo.
so yes, i can say, it's not pigmented at all. there is some glitter, as you can see from the picture with flash.
when applied on my cheek, i like to just blend all the colour, it will show brown colour with pink touch on my cheek, but not really show. i guess it's just for a fresh natural glow effect for my cheek.

in conclusion,
for me it's not a must product. something you don't need to have, only for alternative it you want to switch your fav blush to something else for a day or two. no, i will not repurchase this one. maybe it's simply just not what i need. NYX Mosaic powder blush is more for me. well, it depends to the person needs. if you need or want to try a bronzer, you can try this one.
