skin care set review : Etude house aloe moistfull skincare kit

As i mentioned on my post about etude house moistfull collagen skincare set, i also have this moistfull set with aloe, and i was gonna try this one first before deciding which line to buy (well i was hoping to try the moistfull white first too, if possible).

I like how the set comes in 15ml for each skin, essence and lotion, and 10 ml for the cream, so i have more time and more product of course, to try. Normally with a travel mini size like this, the cream and essence only 5 ml so normally they will finish first. But this one i got 15 ml of essence and 10ml of the cream.

So this line is supposed to soothe and moisturized dry and irritated skin, so it would be good for sensitive skin too. In my case, i could use this line on winter when the weather here suppppper dry and my skin got irritated, dryness,flaky skin and redness sometime. Or you can use this line on summer, when you were out and got sunburn and need a skincare to sooth your skin.

well, to see how this line work, let's just start with the review..

Aloe moistfull soothing skin

Now many korean started to use the word "skin" instead of "toner", but actually they are the same.. So this is the first step of the skin care rouine..I used this one with a cotton pad. The texture is watery, the scent.. i don't really know how the smell of aloe, but this one just smell fresh.. there is  a scent of sweetness, i don't know what it is, but comparing to moistfull collagen skin/toner, i like the scent of moistfull collagen better.
As i applied this on my face, it freshen up my face, giving a little bit cold sensation but not burning or tingling. It didn't make face dry, so i think it's quite good for me.

Aloe moitfull first essence

After soothing skin, now it's time to apply the essence. The texture is this watery transparent very light gel. seriously, it's sooo light, almost like water. It's only a little bit thicker than the soothing skin. In fact i grabbed it wrong between the essence and skin twice or three times because they look the same and there was some time i didn't read the label and pour the essence into cotton pad as i thought it was the soothing skin, or other way round.
Not just the texture, the scent also similar with the skin. When i applied this on my face, it felt sooo light, just like applying thicker water.It was absorbed on my face very quickly. it felt like a light moisturizer.Maybe it boost up the skin to prepare for the next step but for me i don't really feel the effect of this essence. it feels like i can just skip this one.

Aloe moistfull soothing lotion

Aloe moistfull soothing lotion.. it's a very lightweight lotion..when i first applied on my face, i don't know why i smell a hint of jasmine scent...? it has a similar hint of scent like the skin and essence, but maybe this one smells a little bit stronger, like there is another extra fragrance there.. maybe not jasmine but sometimes i could smell a hint of jasmine or something like it..??
 I think this lotion is a watery based, i could feel and see it as it absorbed on my skin. This i a good lotion for a day light, since it's very light but moisturizing. But i think i have a little problem with this lotion. there was some day when i felt itchy after applying this lotion. it was weird, since it didn't happen with the cream although they are from the same line. It didn't give me any breakout or anything though.

Aloe moistfull soothing cream

The cream.. when i opened this small cute jar, i liked the cream straightaway from the look!!why? well, it looks like the right texture for me. Not to thick and not too light. The scent is similar with the lotion but the lotion still has a stronger scent.  The texture of this cream is lighter than moistfull collagen cream, but this one also a good moisturizing cream. It kept my face moisturized during the night. No dry skin when i woke up, and it's not too rich that made my face feel greasy in the morning, so for me it's a good cream!!


Overall, what i could say is, comparing to etude house moistfull colagen line, i will definetely choose the moistfull collagen, not this one. well maybe this one will be moire suitable to those who has irritated or sensitive skin. My skin condition is quite normal at this time so i don't really feel the benefit of this line.

skin care travel set review : Etude house moisturising & peeling skin care kit

Hi all.. back to travel kit skin care.. For this last 2 months i've been trying and using all my skin care travel set before they are expired..lol.. this time it's from etude house.. it's their collagen moistfull line plus one peeling

This collagen moistfull line is one of the famous line from etude house.. Long time ago i tried sample of etude house moistful line (toner and emulsion) and didn't impress me much. I'm so excited to try this new line with collagen.. This is a little bit information about the colagen moistfull line i got from the net (google search, of course)

At this time it's still winter time here, the weather outside is very dry, my skin is getting dryer than usual, but still a little bit oily on the nose area. Without good moisturizer my skin at this time could get some redness and dry flaky skin.. so let's try this line..

first up,, the facial freshener

so it's actually a toner.. only that they named it "facial freshener". First thing i noticed.. omg it smells gooodd... it smells sweet and fresh.. i'm a fan of sweet and nice scent on my skin care.. so this one i like.. there's a hint of citrus scent i guess, that made it smells so fresh and lovely.. i can't stop smelling this. lol. The scent of this facial freshener is the strongest than the other product on this line (emulsion and the cream).

The texture is a light gel, not that watery type toner. Comparing to that watery type toner (like skin food peach sake toner or innisfree mint toner, for example) this one is the thick type. I applied it with cotton pad, just how i like to apply toner on my face. It gave me the refreshing feeling, it freshen up my face, also gave a boost of moisturizer, which is nice to get it since the first step of skin care routine. i'm enjoying using this toner, i think i loved it straight away since the first use. it smells good, freshen up my face, moisturized and prep my skin for the next step..

collagen moistfull emulsion

Moistfull Collagen Emulsion is a moist and rich textured facial emulsion that supplies penetrating moisture and collagen treatment to improve complexion health and look. Active Ingredient Baobab Tree Extract and Collagen combination improves dermal structure and moisture retention.

How to use
After applying the Etude House Moistfull Collgen Essence, dispense an adequate amount and apply along the skin texture. Add vitality over the entire face by lightly tapping on face for better absorption follow by the recommended steps from the Etude House Moistfull Collagen Emulsion Line as follow.

so actually i'm missing a step here.. which is the essence.. well anyway i'm not using essence or serum always anyway.. only when i have extra budget i will buy :) 

so this one has the same hint of scent with the freshener, but this one is softer.. not as strong smell as the freshener. the scent is only light

the texture is very light watery runny lotion. You can see at the picture how it started dripping already when i took picture.So yes, it's a light weight emulsion, but it surprised me, how in this dry season it's actually enough moisturized for my skin. I applied this in the morning for a day moisturizer under the bb cream, and that's enough. i didn't get any dry flakes. so yes, it's a good day moisturizer. my nose was also ok during the day, not get oily or extra sebum.

collagen moistfull cream

The cream come in this cute little tube, which is better so i don't have to dip my finger in a jar (most of cream comes in a jar). The scent of this cream is light, and although i could smell the same hint of scent like the facial freshner but i can't really smell it unless i really sniff on it. In fact the cream smells more like soap or basic cream without scent.

The texture is a thick creamy gel, for me the texture is perfect, not too light and not to thick. i don't like it too thick or too rich. When i applied this, i like how it moisturized my face in instant, but not too much that made my face look greasy.
I applied this at night, and it's a good moisturizer for a night. it kept my face moisturized and free from dryness during the night. When i woke up in the morning, i felt my nose oily, but it's ok, i don't mind.
So, i like this cream a lot that i'm thinking to buy the full size, so i tried to apply this in the morning to see if it's good as a day moisturizer too. well, it's good actually. as long as i set it wtih bb cream and loose powder on the nose area it didn't make my face oily like during the night. but it may take awhile to wait before applying bb cream, and for people with oily skin this cream could be too rich. As for me too, although it's ok, but i think the emulsion one is better for a day use.

Rub me tender fog peeling

actually i was excited to get this on the set. peeling is my once a week routine, and to get this peeling product i was excited, specially after i tried the other type of this tub me tender and i didn't like it, so i hope this one would work for me.
but...
it didn't.
Not that it didn't work for me.. the product just didn't work as a peeling at all. it didn't peel!!

it's just like a water.. or mist. it doesn't smell bad like the rub me tender bubble peeling. But seriously.. i can't make it work!! i sprayed on my dry-cleaned face, then start giving a massage like other peeling.. it did nothing!!! no peel.. nothing. just like rubbing my face with water..
i've been searching on the net on how to use this, maybe i did it wrong or something..

 

The direction is just to spray on the face then massage it. i tried it again and again.. on my face, on my hand.. still.. nothing!!!! no peeling or scrubbing effect. just like water... what the...

i really want to know if somebody onw this fog peeling or somebody ever tried?is it only me? did i get an expired product or what...?

seriously, this fog peeling is useless for me.. i can't use it.. :(

Conclusion
I like all except the fog peeling. I like all the collagen moistfull line. In fact i might buy the full size bottle of the facial freshner and the cream.. i just realised that i never but etude house skin care in full size bottle.. so far from the tester i've tried they didn't impress me that much, and this line is the first that convince me to buy the full size. i've checked the price on riebutik, chic princessa, and they are not bad..specially the cream,, it comes with a set.. so it's a good deal. Now i just need to try the other travel set for moistfull which is moistfull aloe (that i already have) and moistfull white (planning to get the travel set), which one is the best, i will buy the full size :)

Peeling wash review : Etude house rub me tender bubble peeling

Some months ago i was running out of peeling after i finished my previous favourite peeling product, etude house magic bubble peeling and innisfree wine peeling. That time i had no time to search and browse reviews for peeling as the seller almost close the pre order batch.. So i was just looking for the list, and i saw this one, and since i liked etude house magic bubble peeling, i thought this one would be good to..well.. is it? let's see...

First, i like the packaging.. it's a plastic bottle with a pump.. yeayy.. i like pump packaging.. so hygienic, and at the end when the product almost finish you can just twist to open and finish the product.

and there's a safety clip too.
From the packaging :
Gel texture foams to supply gentle and moist exfoliation.
directions : after facial cleansing, apply onto facial surface and allow foam layer to form on skin surface. Gently massage for 30-60 seconds and rinse with warm water

This is what the gel looks like.. it's thick and creamy.. now let's start to massage it

Taraaaaa.....!!!this is how it form after i massage it for some seconds... Just continue to massage your face until all that particle dried out and scrubed off of your face.. it looks good right,, but... i have to tell you something.
The scent... OMG it smells awfull. Seriously. As a fan of lovely/sweet/delicious/ scent on my skin care product, this one smells reaaallllly bad for me. I don't know what it smells like. But for me it smells bad, smells like something expired, something that turn me off right away. A scent that i have to hold my breath when i was using this.. yup.. it's that bad..
I received this in good condition, still sealed, and the manufacturing date is 2011-08 and i didn't keep it long in my drawer.. i used it after i received it, around sept 2012. so it could be the product itself, or there's ingridients that smell like that. But seriously.. the smell not just bad but strong.. i really want to hear comment from others who tried this one if they think the same way.

ok now to the result..
after finish massage the gel and scrub off everything, the result is my face became softer and smooth to touch.. but not as smooth as etude house magic bubble peeling, so etude house magic bubble peeling still definetely won over this. it's just like any other facial scrub i guess, not too special..

my conclusion..
it could be quite good alternative for me but i can't stand the scent. i even decided to just toss it aside and not using it but turn out i don't really have other peeling products :( so no option for me.. i should just use this while holding my breath during application :). and no, i will not repurchase this because of the scent..

cleansing review : etude house cleansing dream fresh cleansing water

This year i bought some etude house products in the counter, not from internet. it is more expensive, of course.. but to look around the cute etude house shop, try out some products, way more fun than online shopping. Plus, the free gift is more tempting. when i bought online normally i only got some sachet samples, but buying offline, last time i got the travel set of their new skincare! anyway, i think i'll have to make seperate review about my etude house purchase.

This time let me just write about this cleansing product. So i was looking a cleansing product to remove make up, to use with cotton bud. Normally i'd go with cleansing lotion or cream. when i saw this, i thought ok, let's give it a try of cleansing water. i did some test on my skin, and bought this.

First, the packaging is simple but still cute and girly. i like the pump. packaging with a pump is my favourite. it's hygienic and when the product almost finish you could just open it manually to dig in the leftover product.
How to use it, you pump the water to cotton pad, then wipe clean your face.

the texture is.. of course, water. yup,just like water. i used to clean my make up with cleansing lotion because i thought cleansing water contain more alcohol that will make my face dry. I don't know if there's alcohol in it or how many alcohol in it since i lost the box. I kept it, but i think my maid threw it away.
But what surprised me.. it doesn't make my face dry!! yeayy i'm happy with that. it cleans well, and since it's not cleansing lotion type, so there's no oily or sticky feel after cleansing.
as in the power to erase make up, i will show you with pictures

various make up : eye brow pencil, gel eye liner, eye shadow, lipstick and cream cheek blush

voila!!! it's clean.. well, there's a thin black shadow from the gel eyeliner. it's waterproof gel eye liner and normally i cleaned it with eye make up remover so it still ok for me.

my overall conclusion?
i think from now on i will convert to cleansing water. seriously.. bye bye cleansing lotion.. lol, well, i'd try cleansing lotion if there's cute cleansing lotion product, but mostly i will just buy cleansing water like this but different variant or brand.

eye make up review : etude house line nuance duo

This is an eye make up from etude house, line nuance duo. last year i was impressed with etude house code B gel eye liner, so i decided to try more eye make up product from etude house. I chose this one, and i', so glad i did!!
So what is this? It's a duo function of eye liner and eye shadow. the left one is the eye liner and the right one is eye shadow. There are 4 colours to choose :

i chose number 2, which is brown colour for the eye liner and peachy-light brown for the shadow.

how to use :

 My experience with etude house line nuance duo

now let's take a look closer of my etude house line nuance duo;

the closer look for the liner. it's the crayon type, not pencil. no need for sharpener. it's soft and easy to apply. i feel in love straightaway! first i was just using it for my eye lid, but then i tried to use it for my under eye too and i looooove it. it gave natural look, not too much like when you use liquid or gel eye liner.

closer look for the shadow. it's like an eye shadow tip but with colour. easy to apply, the colour also nice with a shimmer but not too overpowering. the colour is soft and natural look, not too showing on my eye lid.. i think i gotta try other colours..

the swatch, left : liner and right: shadow. as you can see, the eye shadow colour is pale and not really showing on the skin.

i always use this almost everytime i go out. i really like it specially for natural and everyday look. i'm even thinking to buy another one, different colour if i get a chance to visit etude house on my next visit to Jakarta.

Primer sample review : Etude house, baviphat, holika holika

Since i have only sample sachet for those 3 brands, so i will write them in one post. First is Etude house collagen moistfull smoothing ampule primer, Baviphat island girls BB primer fix, Holika holika HD skinny primer base.

to be honest, i don't know if i should just write the review one by one or just compare all of the three all at once. But since i took a picture of each cream one by one i will start with each primer and maybe later compare those 3 products.

First is Etude house collagen moistfull smoothing ampule primer

the texture is creamy, with light pinky colour. First time i used this after squeezed the product on my hand, i applied straight away on my face, and i was surprised. Woaaaa... what is this sparkle all over my face... oh noooo... it was in the afternoon and i was just about to go out with my daughter, spend our afternoon outside. and that time i thought, this is sooo wrong...!!! i don't need all these glitter sparkeling on my face!!

But i couldn't be bother to clean my face and repeat again so i thougt ok, let's just continur with bb cream and let's see how it goes.

well, the sparkle still there but not too obvious. when i look closer on the mirror i could still see them.

anyway, continue to more result, it turned out, this primes is really great primer. it gave my face a natural glow and maximize the bb cream and other make up, also it kept my make up great although i sweat that day. when i came back home, i was surprise to see my face still fresh and i really like the effect on my face. it was just great. The only thing i don't like is the glitter. it would be good if you have special occasions like wedding, party, etc. But for everyday use, this is not for me.

Next, Baviphat Island girls BB primer fix

The texture is light lotion, with white colour.  it's easy to blend, easy to absorb. and a nice moisturizer too. it made my face smooth and ready for make up, but not that smooth silky, only smooth and nice when i touched it. It worked good with bb cream. when i used this before bb cream it kind of maximized the glow of bb cream. there is a light pink tone in it, which is great to make my face looks fresh and healthy :)

The long lasting effect is not as good as the etude house collagen smoothing ampule primer, but it's quite good for everyday use because no glitter in it.

Lst but not least, Holika holika HD skinny primer base.

the texture is also a light watery lotion with white colour. it felt a little bit sticky, but still easy to apply. one this so obvious the first time i tried this is the scent. sooo strong smell. it smells like rubery.. or glue? hehe. well, from what i read on some blogger they said it's the smell of collagen. But the etude house one also with collagen but the scent is not strong like this. For me the scent is ok though, not something bad.

When i applied to my face, i like how it felt on my skin. it's a little bit like baviphat island girls bb primer fix, but this one gave smoother surface. it's also good in keeping make up last long, including under the sun. Yup, i remember i used this primer on the day i was out survey for kindergarten for my daughter. we went to 3 kindergartens, in and out, sometimes out to the playground area, and when i came back my make up (this primer, bb cream and loose powder) still good on my face. i didn't look dull although i was out under the sun, sweating.

Conclusion abouth the three primers,

Overall, all these 3 primer are good products. They have moisturising properties too, didn't make my face dry. But if you ask if i found my fav primer in these 3 products, my answer would be no. Because there is one thing i would like from my primer, which is smooth silky finish before continue to other step of make up. Normally it's the gel type primer that will give that silky smooth effect.  For example, it was something like Revlon beyond solution primer i tried years ago. the texture was gel, and it gave me smooooth silky texture. or something like skinfood peach sake serum or finish powder.

These 3 primers gave a smooth and ready skin for make up, but not that silky smooth, flawless skin. just smoother than your skin feel. So, i'm still looking for  a primer!!

Right now i'm interested to try Baviphat sugar girl primer that i read a review on frozen blossom by senzy blog or Holika holika silky veil primer (because the name said it, "silky" so i was curious to try).

So, any of you tried those primer? or do you have any suggestion for me? what's your favourite primer?
