hair care review : skin food Moisture egg hair pack

This is my first skin food hair product i've tried. After awhile using skin food skin care,cleansing, make up fot the face, of course i also curious to try their hair and body products, and as for the hair, i chose this one. I really wanted to try their shampoo and conditioner too but i found it a little bit too expensive for shampoo products, well, i mean.. comparing to the market or drug store shampoo products.

Anyway,, the name is a hair pack. as far as i know, korean brand named a mask or wash off mask as a "pack". Like for a face wash off mask, they use the name "wash off pack" so i guess this one is a hair mask since they named it hair pack?

the information from the packaging

From the direction to use, it's not too much different than to use any conditioner. Maybe just leave it longer for maximum result.

First, the packaging comes in this plastic bulky tube. It's 200 gr so it's quite bulky for a tube. The design is just simple, no cute stuff there.
and then.. the scent.. don't worry, it doesn't smells like egg. it actually smells just like some other drug store hair mask or hair cream product

colour and texture..
it's yellow-ish thick and creamy, like a custard..
I tried to apply it both in dry hair before shower of wet/damp hair after shower.
When i first tried it just follow the direction, after shampoo, remove excess water from the hair by squeezing my hair, then started to apply this creamy hair pack from the middle off the hair till the end, not from the root. it didn't feel like the cream stick on my hair or absorb, it felt like the cream just came off with water so i need to put more. i think it's best to towel dry your hair first so the cream will absorb more. Anyway, then i waited while scrubbing my body or just with soap, then i rinse it off with water.
the result?
i don't see or feel any amazing result. it felt just like any other drugstore conditioner! seriously! yes, my hair was easier to comb and less tangled and not dry but only for that day and the effect is just same like other conditioner like dove or pantene.

But i didn't give up. Some other time i tried using it on my dry hair, before shower. I applied it on my dry hair. it was nice, not sticky and messy.. Then i waited before shower.You know what.. this way is better.. i could feel the cream absorbed to my hair and gave my hair nice moisturizer
The effect of this way is slightly better.. it felt like a hair mask this way, not just any conditioner. i could feel the extra moisturized and softer hair. But again, it didn't wowed me. it felt just like hair mask from drug store/market! -- lately i tried pantene and dove hair mask and they both are good and this one is just like them.

My conclusion? not special product, just so so, just like something you can get from drug store and supermarket with cheaper price. So it's clear that i'm not impressed and will not repurchase this, but i'm still curious with skin food pomegranate hair care line though.

hair care : L'oreal hair mask sachet

I found this at the supermarket on my last visit to Jakarta. i just took it. First because it's l'oreal, a known brand, and second because it's in sachet, so convinience to try.. you don't have to buy the big tube to try the product.and as i remember the price is cheap
I've tried l'oreal hair mask before, i bought in the big tube, the yellow one, but i bought it from here and it was made in somewhere.. (this one made in indonesia). so let's see how good this 2 hair mask, and i will start with the yellow one on the right

L'oreal re-nutrition 1 minute nourishing mask 
with royal jelly, deep nourishing for replenished&silky hair

The sachet contains 15 ml of product. For me i can use it twice (my hair is up to shoulder, thin and straight hair)

The new formula, with royal jelly, bathes even very dry hair in nourishing ingridients to replenish the fiber with moisture. Your hair regains elasticity, bounce and suppleness. It instantly feels replenishes and revitalised.
directions for use : leave for 1 or 2 minutes on washed or towel-dried hair. Rinse out easily.

The mask is creamy and thick, it smells like..hummm.. hair product? lol yeah of course.. well it smells cosmetic scent, lovely, nice smell.. i don't know what to compare. The instruction is to leave it on towel-dried hair for 1-2 minutes, but i prefer to apply it before shower, on my dry hair, and leave it for more than 1 or 2 minutes. maybe 5-10 minutes. When i applied it to my hair, it wasn't sticky.. my hair didn't stick all together like a glue. After waiting for 5-10 minutes, rinse it off with water and shampoo, another conditioner.. the result is....
soft, moisturised, not tangled hair.. easy to comb.. just the result i expected and i like. Although of course it didn't last long..both the scent and the effect.. only last for a day.. But still, i like this hair mask and i will repurchase. if you have dry hair, or need extra care or moisturizer for your hair, you can try this!

L'oreal total repair deep repairing mask

with cement-ceramide, deep repairing for strong & healthy hair

The texture also creamy and thick, but the yellow one with royal jelly is thicker. it has the similar kint of scent, but this one in my opinion smells more perfume.
So, how to use this mask is same like before, just apply it evenly on my hair before shower, wait for 5-10 minutes then rinse off.

The result..
i found that the yellow one with royal jelly gave more moisturizer and instant effect for me. While this one maybe just slightly better and richer than conditioner, but comparing to the yellow one, this one didn't give the moisturizing,softer hair effect as good as the yellow one. But anyway this one promised lots more that can't be seen in only 1 time use right, i think you have to use it regularly to see if it deliver that 5 promise written on the packaging. I was just using it once so i can only comment for instant result and not more than that

overall, i will choose the yellow one with royal honey comparing the red one, but i don't mind buying more of these hair mask for both variants since it comes in sachet so you switch for altenatives.

hair care review : Putri hair mask spa

Putri hair mask spa? i know... it might be not a famous product for you all.. well, in fact it's new for me too! i have no idea what kind of product this is.. (yup.. another random product i bought). Well, a little bit story behind this, it was on 2011 when i went to Pasar mayestik to buy makarizo shampoo and l'oreal hair spa. When i bought L'oreal hair spa, the seller offered me this. He said that this one smells just like l'oreal. and this one is cheap. only rp.30.000, while l'oreal  Rp.90.000. Tempted, so i bought both l'oreal and this.

So what is this product anyway?

it's a hair mask with shea butter, grape seed, and colour protection agents to help protect the hair and make the hair shine, healthy and strong.
how to use : after shampoo and towel dried, apply on the hair and wait for 15 minute, wash off with water.

so i think the difference between this and hair creambath cream, this one is a mask, no need to massage, just apply evenly on your hair and wait. just like a face mask.

The packaging is this plastic big tube contain 240ml.

my experience with putri hair mask spa

So, when i first opened the packaging, first thing to do is of course to smell it, and woaa.. the seller was right. it smells very similar like l'oreal hair spa. smells nice!!!
I'm a lazy type to wash my hair first, apply, wait, and back to shower. so what i did was just applied it on my dry hair before shower. What happened was my hair getting harden like i was using a hair spray on my hair. and the big thing is that it seems like it somehow stimulated my hair to fall. i saw lots of hair fall as i applied this on my hair. as i reached the end of my hair, there was lots of hair fall stuck on my hand. oh noooooooo
But it's a little bit different when i did it on my wet hair after shampoo. it didn't cause hair fall that much.

anyway, the result after i washed it off with water is that my hair became smooth and easy to comb and also smells good. But i don't think i will repurchase this one as my hair fell a lot during the process. so i think i will just stick to l'oreal or makarizo.

Hair creambath review : Makarizo hair energy anti aging creambath with aloe vera

Another creambath cream for hair... Yeah, hair creambath is one of my must weekly treatment. My hair is tangled and i need some extra cream to smoothen my hair and make it easier to comb. So this is another Makarizo product, not a new brand for me. In fact Makarizo is one of mt favourite product. Not the best, but one of my fav because of the nice smell is a point plus for me :).

This one comes in sachet packaging, contains 60 gr. For me with medium hair i could use it twice and there is still more left, but not much. There is some information at the back of the packaging, as you can see.

My experience with Makarizo hair energy anti aging creambath with aloe vera
First, from all Makarizo hair creambath variant i've tried, this one smells the best.. i smells niceeee... can;t describe the scent, but it smells fresh and sweet and the scent last long.

The texture is creamy lotion, a little bit sticky for me, specially when i applied it on my dry hair. You know, i like to apply it on my dry hair before shampoo, not after shampoo. I think this one is better to apply after shampoo, because when i applied on the dry hair it was sticky and a little bit hard to apply evenly on my hair.

I applied this on dry hair, wait for around 15 minutes then jump into shower and rince it off.
The result? same result with any other makarizo hair creambath i've tried. My hair became smooth, easy to comb, nice smell.. On the packaging for maximum result You should apply this twice a week. woaaa.. how many sachet i need for a year? plus, who have time to do that twice a week? lol.

hair care review : L'oreal Hair spa nourishing creambath

More of hair product!! After trying some makarizo hair creambath, now it's time to try other brand. This time i'm trying L'oreal hair spa nourishing creambath. Many big Salon and Spas in Jakarta using this product for their hair spa treatment. First time i tried this was in the salon near my house. i loved the smell. the smell last longer on my hair than traditional creambath. of course, it's more expensive than traditional creambath. In that Salon near my house, this L'oreal hair spa treatment cost Rp.75.000 including wash & blow dry, while for tradional creambath cost Rp.45.000.

One day i just thought, i could just buy it. why not? well, of course it won't feel the same like a treatmant in the salon where you could just sit comfortably and someone will massage your scalp, but it will save your money. Because this big tube, contains 500 ml, cost Rp.95.000-Rp.98.000. I bought it with that proce from Mayestik. You can also found this on supermarket, but the proce would be above Rp.100.000. I saw this on one of the big supermarket , it was Rp.115.000.

My experience with L'oreal hair spa nourishing creambath
Actually when i bought this, the Guy in Mayestik who sold this offered me to buy the concentrate/serum too. But  i said no. it's around Rp.8.000 or 10.000 (can't remember) for one use. so if i use this 10 times i have to buy 10? hemmm.. well that time i thought, ok let's just buy thr cream first and see if it's good to use at home.
Reading the information and direction to use from the packaging, it's quite complecated to me. massage for 20 minutes??? if it were in salon it wouls be lovely. but doing it to yourself, massage your scalp for 20 minutes, you would be tired. tried it yourself! because after 5 minutes i got tired already. hehehe.
and i don't really like the idea of having shower, wash my hair, towel dried my hair and body, applied this cream, wait, then back to shower to rinse it off. heeemmm tooooo much. For practical reason, i just applied this on my dry hair before shower, wait then rinse it off while taking a shower. But of course, i tried both ways. I also tried to do as the direction, shampoo - towe dried - wait - rinse it off.
The result ?
Niceeeee... it smells nice... and my hair sooo soft and smooth, easy to comb, felt nourished and moisturised, and the scent last quite long on my hair, until the next day. Not just me, my husband also loved it. he smelled it and he said he liked it and wanted to try. so he tried it, and after that he said he could feel the result on his hair and scalp.
Those big tub could last arounf 3 months, for 2 people! (me and my husband). i used it every week while my husband around every 2 weeks.
in conclusion, i love this product more than my previous makarizo creambath, and i will repurchase this one, in fact i will also look for the shampoo and try the shampoo.
So if you don't have time to go to Salon every week or month, you can just try this. you don't have to follow exactly the direction if you are busy. in fact you can leave it on your hair while you are doing something else like have breakfast, clean your room, anything else.

hair care review : makarizo texture experience black chocolate shampoo and conditoner

I started using Makarizo texture experience shampoo and conditioner since almost 2 years ago. I have tried 4 variants so far ; cinnamon coffee,strawberry yogurt, vanilla milk, and then lately this one, black chocolate. there are still 2 other variants; green tea butter and mint sorbet, i have both too, but still in my drawer, not open yet. So, from the variants i mentioned above, you can see why i like this shampoo and conditioner. Yes, of course it's because the yummy name, which means also yummy, sweet, delicious scent. All variants i've tried, they really smell just like the name. i enjoy my time in shower more because of the nice scent!

so, what is this black chocolate shampoo and conditioner?

My experience with makarizo black chocolate shampoo and conditioner:
first, it smells chocolate. yeaaayy.. but not too chocolate or real yummy chocolate to eat, it's just a chocolate artificial scent :( and it reminds me of my childhood, i tried to remember i couldn't.. i knew when i was a kid i have something smell similar like this. was it a soap, toys, cookies? i tried to think back to remember... wait. i remember a little just now as i'm writing this!! it smells like a sticker with a scent..if you were born around 1980-1990 maybe, you will now it. when i was a little, maybe in elementry school, there was this sticker (it was the era of sticker collection) that when you rub it, you wil get the aroma just like the picture in the sticker. and i love the chocolate one. yup, this shampoo smells just like that chocolate sticker. the conditioner smells similar with the shampoo.

next, the texture. the shampoo is clear with light brown colour, quite thick and easy to form bubble, while the conditioner.. oh my God.. the colour... it's like a blood or betadine! yukkksss.... i will show you the picture of shampoo and conditioner

you see the conditioner on the right? sooo spooky! and the worst is when it's on the bathroom floor, it looks like blood!! and every after shower i have to look around to make sure there is no stain from this conditioner that will make my bathroom look like there's blood in it. rrrrrrggggghhhhhhh...... sorry if i make you gross with this conditioner.
anyway, the texture of conditioner is light creamy, like lotion. i need lots of the product to cover all my hair, plus it's not rich enough for conditioner.

next, the result.
heemmm... it was ok. nothing too special. the shampoo cleans my hair well, but the conditioner didn't help much for my dry hair. still at the end of the day my hair get tangled and dry at the end.both products give a nice scent, but the scent doesn't stay long in my hair. less than a day. just so so, i guess. what i don't like and make me won't buy this again is the colour of the conditioner...with a chocolate name it should be brown-yummy chocolate colour, not bloody red! anyway, comparing to other makarizo texture experience shampoo and conditioner, i must say that this one is the worst. i think my favourite from makarizo is the vanilla milk. or cinnamon coffee..hehe.. can't choose one.

hair care review : the body shop Banana shampoo & conditioner

this would be a short review, since it's not my favourite products. i'm so sorry again, the body shop..
i was interested to try this because..

• it's banana, it smells delicious
• i like a set of shampoo and conditioner, specially with delicious scent, not cosmetic artificial fragrance smell like most shampoo from the supermarket.

this is the information the body shop banana shampoo & conditioner :
go banana-rama for this gourgeusly fruity shampoo.it leaves hair super sheeny, just like our origina; one. Now with community trade banana puree.
for all hair types.

 my experience with this shampoo & conditioner :

• they smell similar. not like the real banana or banana pure, but smells more like banana candy or cake. it smells nice though.
• the texture is really thick. even the shampoo is thick. maybe the thickest shampoo i've ever tried? and the conditioner is even thicker.
• how is it for my hair? too bad, it doesn't help with my tangled-dry hair. maybe the function of this shampoo is only to clean the hair, that's it. my hair still tangled even i just washed my hair. and the scent doesn't stay long, not even a day.

so, overall i'm dissapointed with this one.  still have many products left and i can't even be bother to finish it. just put them aside and start to use other shampoo and conditioner.

Hair care review : Makarizo hair energy with royal jelly creambath

Ok, the name is actually longer than what i wrote in the title. the full name is... Makarizo hair energy with royal jelly for damaged hair ain-aging creambath. hehe. too long right, so i just make it short..

Anyway, i think most of the women, if they have time and money, they would loce to go to salon or spa to pamper themselves, either to have a facial, creambath, hair spa, manicure, pedicure, full body massage, or anything else. When i was Jakarta i used to go to salon or spa regularly. but here in Yemen, i have to do it by myself, at home. Here salon is not so popular for all those treatment, it's likely only to cut your hair, dye your hair,  or make up for special occasion.

So since my hair started getting dry and tangled after 3years living here, last time i travelled to Jakarta i bought some hair care products. This makarizo is one of them. i've tried the sachet before and i liked it, so i bought the big 500g jar. i bought this one in Pasar Mayestik.

well, not so helpful information. first, in the direction it's not clean when do you supposed to use this. before washing your hair with shampoo, or after washing your hair first and towel dry. anyway, since the procedure of creambath in salon is that you wash your haie first then start to apply the cream, so i thought it shoud be that way. but anyway i tried both ways.

inside jar. ooopppssss... almost finish... realllllyy?? i have used all of them? well, for information, it's been 6months since i opened this. it last long!! oh, and if course, i used this only twice a month.

the cream.. the texture is thick creamy. the smell is actually reminded me of l'oreal with royal jelly. i've tried l'oreal products line with royal jelly, and this one smells similar. maybe that's how the scent of royal jelly? it smells good, although for me it's too artificial fragrance.

my experience with this product..

well, i tried both ways. First, i washed my hair and towel dry, then started applying this cream with some massage until my hand got tired. hehe. then just wrapped it with warm towel, wait, then rinse off with water.

second, i tried to apply this on my dry hair before shower, then rinse off and shamppo. 

the result? Same!! hehe.. so i think you can do it both way, anyway you prefer. the result is my hair is soft, not tangled, easy to comb, smells good, but... too bad, the effect doesn't last long. the next day my hair back to tangled, and the smell is gone the next day.

But overall, i still like it and continue to use it until it finish. i don't know if i will buy more of this. I will check on Pasar mayestik to see what other creambat products they have, if nothing attract me then i will buy this again, in different variant.

anyway, i also bought l'oreal hair spa cream, so after this makarizo i will try the l'oreal.

Taman sari royal heritage is a brand under the Big cosmetic company in Indonesia, Mustika Ratu. Taman sari royal heritage is also known as the spa. Anyway, this is some information i got from the official website;

So actually Taman sari royal heritage started from spa for many kind of treatment, and the later on they decided to also sell the products so the customers can enjoy it at home.
Anyway, i like their spa!! it all started before my wedding day, when i was hunting for spa treatment. And besides mom n jo spa, Taman sari spa was also my alternative. there where i fell in love with the products. i love the natural scent of the products, and i bought many sets straightaway.

Recently i found this set of shampoo and conditioner in the market, so i bought it to try out. Well, let's start then.

first, the shampoo.

it comes with this tube plastic packaging, it's transparant, so you can see the shampoo inside

benefits:
green coconut shampoo containing cocos nucifera,D-panthenol and vitamin E for preventing hair damage. Completed with anti dandruff agent for preventing dandruff.

The texture is interesting. it is gel-creamy, with some green particle. when i scooped out the product, the green particle didn't come out. but you can see it her;

can you see that small-small green dots? they are not from the packaging, but from the product inside. i don't know what they are, and there is no explanation i could found.

anyway, the shampoo smells great. smells fresh like lime mix with some natural herbs, it doesn't smell like coconut at all. smell soo natural, just like a spa product.
the product itself, actually i could feel my hair getting dry during my shower time. it's a little bit weird, how when i started massage this shampoo on my scalp, and down to the hair, my hair felt dry although i was under the shower and my hair totally wet. i don't like that feeling, but thank God after the conditioner it's all good.

next is the conditioner.

benefits :
coconut milk conditioner containing coconut milk, complemented with citrus fragrance and vitamin E.use as conditioner.

this one is also smells citrus, no smell coconut milk at all. the scent is really nice, natural and fresh. the texture is creamy, more creamy and thicker than any conditioner i have tried.

the white-creamy one is the conditioner and the clear gel one is the shampoo.
the conditioner itself is not what i expected. well, it gave moisturised after the shampoo, but i don't feel the conditioner absorbs to my hair really well. But, the good thing is, the smell stay on my hair!! it's not easy to find shampoo/conditioner that the smell will last long in my hair. but this one it stays all day! it's a good thing for me!!



conclusion;

overall, what i like most from this set is the scent. how nice it is and how it stays long. But other than that, it is not hair care i'm looking for. maybe for others it will work better.

hair care review : L'oreal elvive re-nutrition nourishing mask

I have mentioned several times before here about how i need extra care for my hair. Fist, i need conditioner after shampoo, and i also need extra weekly care like creambath or hair mask. The weather here is very dry that makes my hair also dry and tangled.  I also mentioned some products i bought in the local supermarket here, and some of them were not good. But this one is definetely a keeper!! so glad that i found this here in Yemen.
so, what is this? well, this is a hair mask for extra nutrition for your hair.

from the packaging:
dicsover the re-nutrition nourishing mask with an "active serum inside" with royal jelly: it intensely nourishes even the driest hair. Results : replenished, your hair regains elasticity, bounce and silkiness. Direction for use : leave in on a washed and towel-dried hair for 1-2 minutes, then rinse.

So, although from the direction i suppose to wash my hair first and towel dry before applying this, sometimes i'm just so lazy to do that. I mean, after washing your hair you have to get out of shower, towel dry, apply the product, wait then back to the shower to rinse off--while your body already dry.. oh, i just hate that. So i just aplly it on my dry hair before shower, then shampoo like usual. And it worked just the same! when i first tried this mask, i followed the direction. shampoo, conditioner, then out of shower, towel dry, waiting and getting cold (specially when it is a winter) then back to shower.. and i found that the result is just the same than when i do it my way. So since then i just applied it on my dry hair, before shampoo. And sometimes i just let it stay on my hair for more than 2 minutes. sometimes 10 minutes.

This is how the mask look like. The texture is creamy, and it smells just like other l'oreal hair product but stronger scent.
i use this once a week before, but since now i have makarizo creambath, i use this once in every 2 weeks. So, saturday is like my hair care day. either with this hair mask or makarizo one.

hair serum review : Rudy hadisuwarno Hair growth serum

Today i am gona review a hair product, it is a treasure i found 2 years ago and i repurchased and used it again recently. Anyway, a little story behind this. 3 years ago after delivering my baby, i experienced this hair fall that bothered me. well, actually during my pregancy my hair was better. seriously. the effect of hormone did really good to my hair. my hair is thin and not much hair (genetic), while during pregancy my hair seemed thicker and much more. I read that it was normal, and after delivery, after everything back to normal the hair will be back to normal too, which also mean i will experience hair fall. and it did happened to me. So, even after i read that it was normal, i still didn't feel happy with hair fall, of course. who did? specially after my baby was 8 months old, and i still experienced this hair fall, i started looking for something. Thank God, i found an article (advertorial actually) in a magazine about this product.
so i checked in the supermarket and i found this, and aother similar product, which is neril.i bought both. and i started using this first. from what i read on the magazine, you suppose to finish those 6 serum bottles in 2 weeks. so, 3 bottles a week, one day one day off. And then later on for mainteance you could use it only once a week. anyway, i will tell you what happened taht 2 years ago. only after 1 week (3 bottles), i could feel the hair fall was less, so obvious. my brush was almost clear from hair fall. wait for the next result.. after 2 weeks and finish the bottle, i could feel the new hair growing! i remember i couldn't stop touching my scalp to feel those many short new hair growing. AMAZING!!!!
anyway.. so i bought it again, and here i will show you the products and my update review..

so, what causes hair loss? to conclude the long paragrapgh there, there are many reasons, including genetic factore, hormonal changes (during or post pregnancy), stress, serious illess, certain drugs and malnutrition.

well, that time, the cause of my hair loss was very clear, it was hormonal change post pregnancy. while recently when i use this serum again was simply because i want more hair and thicker hair! hehe

how to apply : wash your hair.apply 1 bottle to the scalp, lightly massage with circular motions.

Now, the review for my second set of serums :

it still worked, but the result was not as rapid and wonderfull like the first time. this time, after i finish 2 weeks with 6 bottles, i didn't see or fell any change and hair grow. i almost write a review here about how this product didn't work this second time. but i decided to wait....until 2 weeks later... i felt those tiny short new hair growing.. YEEEEAAAYYY!!!!  So my conclusion is, the first time was clearly i had that hormonal change so this product worked amazing and fast. in 2 weeks only i could feel the effect. while this time actually i don't really have problem, but i just want to use it for thicker and more hair. so i am happy anyway, although the result was not that obvious like firt time, this one still works!

overall, this is a great product and  i reccomend this to any women out there who have thos hormonal changes after pregnancy, or anyone who experience hair fall.

additional note : i mentioned other brand which is neril. i tried neril after 6 months using this and it didn't work as good as this Rudy hadisuwarno. but i guess it could be because i already use this. but anyway, my mom and dad also tried both Rudy and Neril, and for them Neril worked better than Rudy. so it is different effect to different person i guess.
